Our Story

Hi, we are Martin and Nicolas Bodé, founders of Dar Bodé

Our mutual passion for interior and objects with a story started at a young age. The idea of offering exclusive interior objects crafted in Morocco came naturally. “Dar” meaning “house/home” in Moroccan, Dar Bodé was born.

Committed to social and environmental responsibility. Dar Bodé works as much as possible without intermediaries, but directly with the artisans and cooperatives. This gives us the possibility to pay the artisans a fair price for their work and to offer you a unique product of great quality at a reasonable price.

Nicolas Bodé

Nicolas spent the last 15 years working as an architect in Marrakech. He had the opportunity to witness the skills of the local artisans and the incredible richness in exquisite textiles, leather, pottery and other handmade objects Morocco has to offer.

Martin Bodé

Martin is a product-designer who lost his heart in Morocco and its handcraft culture - a craftsmanship lost for many years in western culture.
